Investment Clubs

Guide: Getting started

What is an investment club

The simple definition of an investment club is a group of people that get together to invest in the stock market.

But this simple definition does not capture the excitement, enthusiasm and fun that can be produced by a group of friends or colleagues getting together to try and beat the professionals.

If two heads are better than one, then imagine what you can do with up to twenty. Rather than investing on your own, you can meet regularly through an investment club and benefit from the knowledge, insights and experience of others.

And of course the aim is to make money in the process.

Already, there are well over 8,500 investment clubs in Britain and many tens of thousands worldwide.

The members come from all walks of life and can be anything from complete beginners to experienced investors.
