Leading the way higher was waste management firm Shanks after saying that the Silverburn Shopping Centre in Glasgow is no longer sending any of its waste to landfill since appointing Shanks to handle its recycling. Shanks won the recycling contract just six weeks ago, and has been instrumental in ramping up the shopping centre's recycling rate from 9 per cent to 97 per cent.
