Marc Jacobs quits LVMH role to concentrate on his own label
High-profile designer Marc Jacobs has left his role with luxury goods firm LVMH to concentrate on his own fashion label.
Jacobs spent 16 years with LVMH, the owner of luxury brands such as posh luggage firm Louis Vuitton and champagne maker Moet & Chandon.
He jointly owns his own label with a business partner and LVMH and the trio are expected to float the brand within the next three years.

LVMH boss Bernard Arnault revealed Jacobs had left to spend more time working on the label, having helped transform the company into a global behemoth with annual sales of nearly £6billion.
The firm is yet to announce a replacement but French designer Nicolas Ghesquiere has been hotly tipped for the role.
