IP Group plc - Issue of equity

IP Group plc (LSE: IPO) ("IP Group" or "the Company" or "the Group"), the developer of intellectual property-based businesses, confirms that it has issued 101,622 new ordinary shares of 2p each (the "New Shares") following the exercise by certain of the Company's employees of nil-cost options awarded to them on 15 April 2014 under the Company's Deferred Bonus Share Plan.

An application has been made to the Financial Conduct Authority for admission of the New Shares to the premium listing segment of the Official List maintained by the UK Listing Authority and to the London Stock Exchange. It is expected that admission will take place on 27 April 2016.

Following the issue of the New Shares, the number of ordinary shares of 2p each in issue will increase to 565,207,667. For the purposes of the Financial Conduct Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules ("DTRs"), the issued ordinary share capital of the Company following this allotment consists of 565,207,667 Ordinary Shares. There are no shares held in treasury.

This information may be used by shareholders in their calculations to determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, IP Group plc under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
