Impax Environmental Markets plc announces that on 2 December 2016 it purchased 50,000 of its own ordinary shares in the market at a price of 212.0p per share.  These shares will be cancelled. 

Following this share re-purchase, the Company's issued share capital will be 237,325,604 ordinary shares.  The Company will be holding 45,698,109 of these shares in Treasury.  Therefore, the total number of ordinary shares with voting rights in the Company will be 192,627,495.
