Board Appointment

The Board of Ortac, the mineral exploration company operating in Europe and Africa, is pleased to announce that it has appointed Nick von Schirnding to its Board of Directors as a Non-executive Director with immediate effect.

Nick has over 25 years' experience in Mining and Natural Resources, and is currently an executive with Garrison Capital, which has developed and listed companies in the resources sector. Formerly, Nick was the CEO of Asia Resource Minerals plc, a FTSE listed mining company, where he was instrumental in successfully restructuring the group (formerly Bumi plc). Nick was also previously the deputy chairman of Berau Coal, one of Indonesia's largest coal producers, and a senior executive with Anglo American plc and De Beers.

Vassilios Carellas, Ortac's CEO, commented: 'I am delighted to welcome Nick to the board of Ortac. Nick brings a wealth of experience and business acumen, especially from the mining and exploration sector, which will further enhance the skill set of the board.'
