Issue of SAYE Options to PDMR and Employees

AO World plc ("the Company") announces that on 27 January 2017 the Company granted options ("Options") over 506,252 ordinary shares of 0.25p each ("Ordinary Shares") pursuant to the AO World plc 2017 Sharesave Scheme.

The Options have a contract start date of 1 March 2017 and are exercisable between 1 March 2020 and 30 August 2020. The exercise price, which was set in accordance with HM Revenue & Customs rules for sharesave plans, is 149 pence per Ordinary Share.  The allocation of share options was made available to UK employees with at least three months' service to the Group and amounts to 0.12% of the Company's current issued share capital.  The exercise of options on maturity is not dependent upon performance criteria.

Within the options described above, 12,080 options were granted to John Roberts, Chief Executive Officer. These options replace the 7,093 options granted under the 2014 AO Sharesave Scheme (notification of the cancellation thereof was received by the Company on 23 January 2017).
