Lamprell (ticker: LAM), a leading provider of diversified fabrication, engineering and contracting services to the global energy industry, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Nicholas Garrett as a Non-executive Director of the Company.  Mr Garrett brings significant industry experience, in-depth knowledge of the market and a solid understanding of Lamprell's business.

In his 23-year career at JP Morgan Cazenove, Mr Garrett advised a wide range of companies on the delivery of their growth strategy, corporate transactions and access to capital. In his role as the Head of the IPO/Execution Team Nick Garrett worked on Lamprell's listing in 2006 and over the subsequent years has formed a solid understanding of the Company.

Mr John Kennedy, Chairman, Lamprell, said:

"I am pleased to welcome Mr Garrett to the Board in light of his long experience.  He was a key member of the financial advisory team that advised the Company on its IPO in 2006 and the subsequent move to the main market in 2008. Mr Garrett joins the Board with immediate effect.  As the Company's major shareholder, Lamprell Holdings Limited, nominated Mr Garrett's candidacy for the role of Non-executive Director, Mr Garrett is not considered to be independent for the purposes of the UK Corporate Governance Code.  His biographical details are set out below.

Nicholas Garrett biography

Nicholas Garrett, 54, was employed for 23 years at JPMorgan Cazenove where he was a Managing Director and worked for 11 years as the Head of the IPO/Execution Team until 2012.  During that period, he led or was involved in companies listed on the London market both as a lead on their initial listings and then in an advisory or broking capacity in respect of subsequent capital raisings, transaction work, corporate finance and broking requirements from these companies.  Prior to this, from 1989 to 2001, Mr Garrett worked at JPMorgan Cazenove in a variety of corporate finance advisory and broking roles before moving to take up the Head of the IPO/Execution Team position.  Since 2012, Mr Garrett has been consulting to various private companies on their growth strategy and access to funding.

Mr Garrett has a Bachelor's degree in Human Geography from the University of Reading and is a member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
