Transaction in own shares

Burberry Group plc ("Burberry") announces that on 21 June 2017 it purchased the following number of its ordinary shares of 0.05 pence each on the London Stock Exchange from Merrill Lynch International. Such purchase was effected pursuant to instructions issued by Burberry on 12 June 2017, as announced on 13 June 2017:

Ordinary Shares

Burberry intends to hold the purchased shares in treasury.

Following the above transaction, Burberry holds 540,000 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 437,841,228 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).

Therefore, the total number of voting rights in the Company will be 437,841,228 and this figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FCA's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
