Appointment Chief Financial Officer

Barratt Developments PLC ("Barratt") is pleased to announce that Jessica White will join the Board of Barratt as an Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer, with immediate effect.

Jessica, currently Barratt's Group Financial Controller, has extensive experience in the housebuilding sector, having joined Wilson Bowden plc as a corporate accountant in 2005. Following the acquisition of Wilson Bowden by Barratt in 2007, Jessica was appointed to the role of Head of Financial Accounting at Barratt, and in 2010 was promoted to the position of Group Financial Controller. Jessica qualified as a chartered accountant with PwC in 2003.

John Allan, Chairman of Barratt, said: "Jessica has more than a decade of experience in the housebuilding industry, and has been integral to Barratt's financial and operational progress. Pursuant to its obligations under the listing rules of the UK Listing Authority, Barratt notifies that Jessica White does not currently hold and has not held any directorships of any publicly quoted companies in the last five years. There is no further information which is required to be disclosed pursuant to paragraph   LR 9.6.13R.

Jessica joined the Group in 2007 as Head of Financial Accounting. She was promoted to Group Financial Controller in 2010 before being appointed Chief Financial Officer on 22 June 2017.

Prior to this, Jessica held various positions at Wilson Bowden plc (2005-2007) and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (2000-2005).

Jessica is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland, and holds an MA from the University of Oxford.
