Transaction in Own Shares

Hansteen (LSE: HSTN), the investor in UK real estate, announces that on 6 October 2017, the Company transferred from treasury to participants in the Company's Performance Share Plan 2012 ("the Plan") 340,205 Ordinary Shares in the Company for nil consideration in order to satisfy the exercise of nil-cost call rights by participants under the Plan. 

Following the above exercise of options and subsequent transfer of treasury shares to participants the Company now holds 838,730 Ordinary Shares in treasury and the total number of Ordinary Shares in the Company in issue excluding treasury shares is 825,054,787. Therefore, the total number of voting rights in Hansteen Holdings PLC is 825,054,787.

The above figure, 825,054,787, may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or change to their interest in, Hansteen Holdings PLC under the FCA's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
