Appointment of KPMG LLP as External Auditor

Following the conclusion of a competitive tender process led by the Audit Committee, the Board of Croda International Plc ("Croda" or the "Company") has approved the proposed appointment of KPMG LLP as external auditor for the financial year commencing 1 January 2018. The appointment is subject to shareholder approval at the Annual General Meeting to be held in April 2018.

PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP ('PwC'), the Company's current external auditor, will undertake the audit for the financial year ending 31 December 2017.

In line with the Statutory Audit Services Order 2014, given that PwC has been the Group's auditor for more than 20 years, PwC was not invited to retender for this appointment.

Alan Ferguson, Chairman of Croda's Audit Committee, said:
