HENDERSON EUROPEAN FOCUS TRUST PLC ("the Company")

Allotment of shares

The Company announces that it has allotted 12,500 new ordinary shares of 50p each fully paid under its block listing authority.  These shares were issued for cash today at a price of 1396.0p per share to satisfy demand.

Following this allotment, the number of ordinary shares in issue that have full voting rights is 20,878,261.

The Company's called-up share capital is now 21,018,991 ordinary shares, of which 140,730 (0.67%) are held in Treasury and have no voting rights.

Total Voting Rights

The figure of 20,878,261 ordinary shares having full voting rights should be used by shareholders and others with notification obligations as the denominator for their calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
