LONDON (ShareCast) - Venture capital provider BP Marsh said all the companies in which it has invested are developing to the board’s satisfaction. The group ended its financial year (31/1/11) with net cash of £0.5m, down from £0.6m at the end of July.

Christie Group’s transaction and advisory practice has completed the successful sale of two Spanish hotels, in two separate transactions, for a combined sum in the region of €65 million.

Shares in Frontier Mining jumped after it announced an upgraded resource estimate for its Benkala copper project in Kazakhstan.

“This updated report shows significant increases in the previously released measured and indicated resource for both the Oxide and Sulphide ores,” Frontier said.

“The oxide resource has increased by a total of 9.72kt (+5.9%) and the sulphide resource by 65.54kt (+9.2%) of copper (based on measured and indicated resources).”

Condor Resources also took off. The gold specialist announced a “further high-grade trench intercept at the El Rodeo Concession in the historic La India Gold Mining District,” in Nicaragua.

Also in gold mining, Goldplat was in demand after it announced that the Kenyan government has granted permission for its subsidiary, Kilimapesa Gold, to commence operations at its mine in the Trans Mara District of Kenya.
