Timminco Ltd. Overview

Timminco is a Canadian based diversified company. It operates through two groups: Silicon and Magnesium. The Silicon Group is specialising in solar grade silicon for the solar photovoltaic energy industry and in silicon metals used primarily in the electronics, chemical, iron and steel, and aluminium industries. The Magnesium Group is engaged in manufacturing and selling magnesium-based metals and other specialty alloys including aluminium, strontium, and calcium which are used in a broad range of specialised applications. Production facilities are operated in Canada, the United States, Australia and Mexico.
