Hospira Inc. Overview

Hospira is a global specialty pharmaceutical and medication company which develops, manufactures and markets products. It has approximately 16,000 employees and 19 manufacturing facilities worldwide, with HQ in Illinois. Spun off from Abbott Laboratories in 2004, its acquisition in 2007 of Mayne Pharma, an Australian oncology drug maker, made it the world’s largest generic injectables company.
