Cairn Energy Overview

Oil and gas exploration group Cairn Energy operates predominantly in South Asia, including west and east India and Bangladesh. The Edinburgh-based company took control of the remainder of an oil field in Rajasthan, India from Shell, for $7.25m. Cairn has raised estimates for the amount of oil in the entire Rajasthan basin to 3.5bn barrels from 2.5bn.
