Corning is a diversified technology company. It focuses on high-impact growth opportunities in the communications, flat panel display, environmental, semiconductor and life sciences industries, utilising its expertise in specialty glass, ceramic materials, polymers and the manipulation of the properties of light, with strong process and manufacturing capabilities. The world's largest maker of fibre-optic cable announced a 2% fall in revenues for 2003 to $3.09bn.
