Charles Russell Bard began research for the treatment of urinary discomfort ninety-five years ago. C R Bard is now a leading global medical device maker specialising in vascular, urology, oncology, and surgical specialty products. Bard pioneered the development of single-patient-use medical products for hospital procedures and, as such, many of the company’s devices, which are purchased by hospitals, physicians and nursing homes, are used only once before being discarded.
