Fluor Corporation is one of the world's largest, publicly owned engineering, procurement, construction, and maintenance services organisations. The company is aligned into five principal operating segments: Energy and Chemicals; Industrial and Infrastructure; Power; Global Services; and Government Services. Fluor employs more than 30,000 employees and maintains a network of offices in over 25 countries worldwide. In March 2003, the US government awarded $1.1bn of Iraq water and sewage contracts to a joint venture involving Fluor and UK firm, Amec.
