SWK Overview

Founded more than 160 years ago, Stanley Works is a global manufacturer and marketer of tools, hardware and specialty hardware products for home improvement, consumer, industrial and professional use. The Connecticut-based company’s tool business manufactures and markets carpenters, mechanics, pneumatic and hydraulic tools, as well as tool sets, under the Bostitch and Stanley name. The doors operation produces commercial and residential doors, closet doors and systems, home decor, door locking systems, commercial and consumer hardware, security access control systems and patient monitoring devices.
