Financial holding company, State Street Corporation, is the world’s largest asset manager and provides institutional investors with investment servicing, investment management and investment research and trading. At the end of 2003, State Street’s assets under custody totalled $9.4trn and assets under management totalled $1.1trn. It operates in 24 countries and more than 100 markets worldwide, providing services to mutual funds and other collective investment funds, corporate and public pension funds, investment managers and others.
