Sunoco Inc. Overview

Philadelphia-based, Sunoco, is a leading manufacturer and marketer of petroleum and petrochemical products and one of the largest independent refiner-marketers in the United States. The company operates domestic refineries with around 890,000 barrels per day of crude oil processing capacity. It markets gasoline under the Sunoco brand through approximately 4,528 retail outlets, primarily in 23 states. Sunoco’s petrochemicals business boasts over 5bn pounds of annual production capacity. The company also manufactures 2m tonnes annually of high quality blast furnace coke for use in the steel industry.
