STI Overview

Financial holding company, SunTrust Banks, is one of America’s largest commercial banking organisations, with total assets of $125.4bn and total deposits of $81.2bn as at 31 December 2003. The Atlanta-based company, through its flagship subsidiary, SunTrust Bank, offers deposit, credit, trust and investment services. The company operates through a network of branches and automated teller machines (ATMs), primarily in Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Tennessee, Virginia and the District of Columbia. It also serves customers in selected markets across America.
