WPI Overview

Founded in 1984, Watson Pharmaceuticals is a leading specialty pharmaceutical company that develops, manufactures and markets brand and generic pharmaceutical products. It utilises various drug delivery technologies, such as solid dosage form, oral controlled release, transdermal, and oral transmucosal delivery systems. Watson currently markets numerous brand product lines, several of which hold leading market positions. At the end of 2002, California-based Watson marketed over 30 branded pharmaceutical products and approximately 130 generic pharmaceutical products.
