NYX Overview

Stock exchange operator NYSE Euronext was created by the combination of New York Stock Exchange owner NYSE Group and European bourse Euronext in April 2007. The merger proposal from NYSE saw off competition from Germany's Deutsche Boerse, which also favoured a tie-up with Euronext.
