Staples Inc. Overview

In May 1986, Staples opened its first office supplies superstore. The company is now a retailer of office supplies, business services, furniture and technology to consumers and businesses from home-based businesses to large corporations in North America and Europe. With almost 1,600 office superstores, Staples is the largest operator of office superstores in the world. It also serves customers through its mail order catalogue, e-commerce and contract businesses.
