Tellabs designs and markets communications equipment for telecom service providers in over 100 countries, and is recognised as the world's leading provider of voice-quality enhancement solutions. Its customers include incumbent local exchange carriers, independent telephone companies, inter-exchange carriers, local telephone administrations, original equipment manufacturers, cable operators, Internet service providers, cellular and other wireless service companies, system integrators, alternate service providers and competitive local exchange carriers. Much of its business is conducted with major carriers such as Verizon and Sprint.
