De Guindos to name new Bank of Spain governor

Spanish finance minister Luis de Guindos is expected to appear at Spain's Congressional Economic Commission of Deputees on Thursday in order to nominate the next Bank of Spain governor.

Among the candidates are the recent European Central Bank (ECB) member Jose Manuel Gonzalez-Paramo, the economist Fernando Becker, the recently named Bank of Spain board member Luis Maria Linde, Bank of Spain regulation director Jose Maria Roldan, International Monetary Fund (IMF) financial affairs director Jose Viñals, and ECB legal service director Antonio Sainz de Vicuña.
