Market overview: Footsie slumps again

1630: It was another day of triple-digit losses for Footsie as banks and miners led the slump.
Among mining related stocks iron ore producer Ferrexpo wass particularly hard hit as investors exited the stock ahead of its anticipated relegation from the Footsie 100. Kazakh rivals Kazakhmys and ENRC were both under pressure.
Barclays and Royal Bank of Scotland were among the worst-hit banks.
