LONDON (ShareCast) - Bloomsbury Publishing has seen its shares continue to soar over the last year as the latest Harry Potter release continued to work its magic for the publishing house.

In July 2000 the group acquired A&C Black, the reference publisher with titles such as Who’s Who and Black’s Medical Dictionary in its stable.

Jill Coleman, joint managing director of A&C Black, has exercised options over 200,000 shares at 220.25p per share, at a cost of over £440,500.

Coleman subsequently sold the lot at 259p per share to take home £518,000, and retains a holding of 27,232 shares in Bloomsbury, with options over a further 228,000 shares.
