LONDON (ShareCast) - Michael Peagram non-executive director at chemicals and pharmaceuticals group Yule Catto sold 800,000 shares at 260.00p each for around £2m.

Shares in the group have been falling steadily since July this year, despite a company forecast of record annual profits after a bumper first half.

The upbeat forecast has been driven by the demand for a new generic form of AstraZeneca's ulcer-drug Prilosec, which Yule makes for Germany's Schwarz Pharma.

Meanwhile Mylan and Novartis both plan to launch their own generic versions of Prilosec in the US, though Yule says as yet there has been no impact on its sales.

Separately three directors at Canadian mining group Bema Gold sold shares. The group floated on Aim at the end of September and in the last month its shares have risen over 22% to 240.5p.
