LONDON (ShareCast) - Vehicle tracking systems specialist Minorplanet has rejected a written proposal from a third party but said it has agreed to talks with the party.

The group said it notes the recent movement in its share price and confirms it had received a written proposal from a third party.

“The board believes that this materially undervalues the company's leading position in the telematics market, its strategic positioning and its prospects and, consequently, declined the proposal,” it said.

Minorplanet Systems said it has subsequently agreed to meet the third party but added there can be certainty that any offer will be made.
