LONDON (ShareCast) - Rail maintenance specialist Jarvis is not currently in discussions to sell the group but is considering all its options, which could lead to an offer.

"Whilst the board continues to consider all its strategic options, one of which may lead to an offer for Jarvis being made, no talks are currently taking place with any parties regarding an offer for the company," it said.

Jarvis was responding to newspaper rumours over the weekend, which said the group was looking for a buyer.

The rail maintenance group’s fortunes have turned dramatically in the last five years; from being valued at over £1bn to now around £50m.
