LONDON (ShareCast) - An optimistic Scott Wilson inched higher midweek on news that the civil engineer expects its full year to meet forecasts following “robust” demand in the second half.
The firm said the order book has been maintained at record levels and it continues to see excellent opportunities for growth, especially at its international division.
It also reckons the strategic joint venture with the Chongqing Communications Planning Survey & Design Institute in South-West China, announced in April, will create more opportunities in the country.
“The board remains optimistic about the group's future prospects and expects results for the full year to be in line with market expectations,” a statement read.
Hugh Blackwood became chief executive on 1 May, as flagged in March, replacing Ron Wall who stepped down from the board.
Results for the year ended 27 April are due on 26 June.
