LONDON (ShareCast) - Telecoms billing software firm Intec shot ahead as it confirmed it had received an early stage bid approach. "It is currently highly uncertain whether this approach will lead to any further discussions taking place," the statement added.

Retinal testing specialist Optos was doing well today. The group announced yesterday that it has been named European Inventor of the Year 2008 in the SME and Research category by the European Commission and European Patent Office (EPO).
