Jupiter Fund Management has announced that its non-executive chairman, Jamie Dundas, has decided to step down due to ill health.
Senior independent non-executive director, Liz Airey, has been appointed as his replacement.
Airey, who joined the company shortly before its flotation, was described by the group's chief executive, Maarten Slendebroek, as having a "wealth of experience, insight and understanding of Jupiter's unique culture and business", adding that "her major contribution to the leadership and governance of the board made her a natural choice for the role".
She was finance director of Monument Oil and Gas from 1990 to 1999, when it was sold to FTSE 100-listed rival Lasmo.
Airey is currently a non-executive director at Tate & Lyle and Dunedin Enterprise Investment Trust and chairman of the Unilever UK Pension Fund.
