LONDON (ShareCast) - Irish airliner Aer Lingus said the total number of passengers grew by 7.6% in June 2008 compared with the same period last year.
Passengers for short haul flights rose 7.8% while long haul flights increased 6.7%.
The June load factor on short haul flights fell to 81.1% from 81.6% but the group said it was a strong performance in the context of a 13.8% increase in capacity on June 2007.
Long haul load factor was down to 82.1% from 83% previously with a 12.8% increase on capacity.
