The contract, which represents the first time that the British Army has used engines made by Rolls-Royce's German manufacturing division MTU, is worth around €80m to the parent company.
Delivery will start in 2016 and finish in 2022.
The vehicles will be delivered by General Dynamics UK in six variants and will form the backbone of the British Army's future fleet of armoured fighting vehicles, Rolls-Royce said.
Ulrich Dohle, the head of Rolls-Royce's Power Systems division, said he was "delighted that our MTU engine has been trusted for this important project".
"This order once again proves that when it comes to performance and reliability, the Series 199 engine is benchmark in its power range," Dohle said.
