LONDON (ShareCast) - Nasstar, whose software allows users to access desktop applications over the internet, has signed a three-year deal with London planning consultant CGMS.
The AIM-listed firm’s Hosted Desktop internet service will initially be rolled out to 125 staff at CGMS offices across the UK.
Hosted Desktop allows each user to access all their applications and data through a web browser providing an alternative to traditional 'on-premise' computing.
The actual value of the contract is dependent on exact usage based on an agreed per user per month fee.
“We're very pleased to be adopting Nasstar's service, its a different approach from the way we have bought IT in the past, delivers great benefits and saves us money,” said CGMS finance boss John Stockdale.
“Nasstar's model of internet delivery provides us with the flexibility we need with staff working across the UK.”
