LONDON (ShareCast) - Plastics firm Victrex said overall it expects profits for the year to be in line with market expectations.

As expected, sales volume for the year grew by 5% to approximately 2,625 tonnes. Second half sales volume of around 1,331 tonnes was up 9% on last year's second half equivalent.

In the US, full year sales volume of 847 tonnes was 7% up, while in Europe it rose 5% to 1,302 tonnes and Asia-Pacific sales volume remained the same at 476 tonnes.

Invibio, its biomaterial business, generated revenue of approximately £25m for the year, an increase of 30% over last year.
