LONDON (ShareCast) - Turbo Power Systems is set to lose out on millions of dollars in production revenues after agreeing to scrap a contract with Hamilton Sundstrand.
The deal, signed in July 2006, was meant to generate revenues of more than $26m over the production life of the aircraft at an expected rate of about $1.6m a year.
It will be terminated once transition of Turbo’s Ram Fan power controllers, used in the power electronics cooling system of the Boeing 787 'Dreamliner', to Hamilton Sundstrand is complete.
“I am pleased that we have managed to reach an amicable agreement with Hamilton Sundstrand over the future of the Ram-Fan Controller programme, which removes our potential exposure to additional development expenditure and cash outflows,” said Turbo boss Paul Summers.
