LONDON (ShareCast) - Two companies this week announced that they plan to move the listing of their shares from AIM to the London Stock Exchange’s main market.

Oil services firm Lamprell expects that the cancellation of trading on AIM and admission to the official list will take place on or around 6 November.

No new shares will be issued upon admission, the group added.

Meanwhile, insurer Lancashire Holdings plans to apply for admission to the main list during 2009.

“Lancashire Holdings Limited announces that, during 2009, it intends to apply for admission of its common share capital to the Official List of the UK Listing Authority and to trading on the London Stock Exchange's market for listed securities,” it said in a brief statement today.

Lancashire, which has a market cap of over £500m, provides specialty insurance products globally through its UK and Bermuda-based insurance subsidiaries.
