LONDON (ShareCast) - Strong demand from the oil, gas, mining and shipping sectors sent revenues soaring at maintenance and repair specialist Castle Support Services and left the group with a strong outlook for the coming year.
Castle, which is the holding company for DM Technical Services (DMTS), posted revenues of £116m in the year to June 30, compared with £87m in the first 10 months of DMTS’s trading. Pre-tax profits climbed to £18.5m from £17.6m between the two periods.
“We are well placed to benefit from increasing demand for inspection, maintenance, and repair services for generators, motors and ancillary equipment and the ever increasing demand for energy and energy efficiency,” said non-executive chairman Christopher Mills.
“We therefore expect to make further progress during the course of this year.”
