LONDON (ShareCast) - Content management software provider Geong International expects full-year results to be in line with expectations despite the global financial downturn.
The China-focused company’s PortalAge software, which is aimed at large businesses, performed particularly well during the first half, Geong said.
Sales of SmartBox products, which are aimed at smaller companies, continued well in the first half of the year, although it expects growth rates to reduce during the second half as a result of a general downturn in the Chinese economy.
Strength in PortalAge should overcome any slowdown SmartBox faces and will ensure the company achieves market expectations at the year end, Geong said.
“We have had a strong start to the year but acknowledge the toughening market conditions,” chairman Henry Tse said.
“However, we are confident that, through careful management and by having top quality products and people, we will be able to achieve our targets.”
