FTSE 250 movers: TalkTalk rises but Serco gives back gains
London’s FTSE 250 was up 0.1% to 20,023.23 in afternoon trade on Friday as the Christmas lull kicked in.
TalkTalk was the best performer even as JPMorgan said it sees significant ongoing downside as the company struggles to stand up to a competitive residential market environment. It rates the stock at ‘underweight’.
Restaurant Group was on the back foot as AIM-listed peer Fulham Shore said that its restaurants in the London suburbs are still trading below last year with increased volatility and some expected cannibalisation from new restaurants.
Outsourcer Serco retreated after a well-received trading update pushed the shares higher a day earlier,
