Cambridge-based online video services provider Amino Technologies posted a pre-tax loss of £8.7m for the year ended 30 November 2009 from a £2.1m profit previously
Challenging market conditions sent revenues for the period down to £25.29m from £31.90m in 2008.
Commenting on the results, non executive chairman Keith Todd, said, "2009 was a challenging year for Amino resulting in a disappointing financial outcome."
However, "improvements are already yielding results with more of a robust demand in the second half and into the start of this year."
Amino also announced it has secured a significant contract with a Western European operator to support the operator's new broadband TV service.
He added, "Despite the difficulties experienced last year, the company is well placed to grow and improve its financial position during the current year as a result of the strategic progress made over the past 12 months."
