LONDON (ShareCast) - The directors of bluetooth technology firm CSR cashed in some share options today as the shares climb towards all time highs.

The company announced that four of its top executives sold off chunks of share options, a week after CSR

Co-founder and chief technical officer James Collier exercised options over nearly 500,000 shares and sold the lot at 690p per share for £3.4m. The exercise price was not disclosed.

Chief executive John Hodgson exercised options over 300,000 and sold the lot for £2m while co-founder and Sales director Glenn Collinson exercised and sold 200,000 for £1.3m. Financial director Paul Goodridge exercised 17,000 options and subsequently sold 20,000 shares.

The strategy appears to be a consistent trend for directors with the most significant deals done in the last year having been the exercise of options. Founders Collinson and Collier between them sold 1m shares in March.

Last week chip designer CSR said higher than expected revenues, on the back of growth in the mobile phone and headset markets, would give it an operating profit for the third quarter ahead of expectations.
