It will allow international brands to sell goods to China without an established presence in the country
Jd.com, Alibaba's biggest competitor and China's second e-commerce company, launched on Wednesday JD Worldwide, an online platform to connect international brands with Chinese consumers.
This service will allow international brands to sell goods to China without requiring an established presence in the country.
JD Worldwide, featuring both direct sales and marketplace channels, will allow Chinese consumers to order more than 150,000 products from 450 online shops from the UK, US, France, Germany, Japan, Australia, South Korea and New Zealand through JD's website and its mobile application.
JD.com has once again raised the standard for integrated e-commerce solutions in China
"JD.com has once again raised the standard for integrated e-commerce solutions in China with the launch of JD Worldwide, the most convenient way for Chinese consumers to purchase imported products," said Jd.com's CEO Richard Liu.
"By combining the advantages of China's cross-border free trade zones, JD's warehouses and unparalleled last-mile logistics network, and our experience developing winning marketing campaigns for our partners, JD Worldwide gives international sellers and brands the most comprehensive and effective solution available for reaching Chinese consumers," he added.
