Chinese interested in Portugal's Novo Banco
Anbang and Fosun said to be leading the bid
China's Anbang Insurance and Fosun International are said to be interested in acquiring Portugal's Novo Banco, the Financial Times reported on Monday.
Novo Banco was introduced on 4 August 2014 by the country's central bank in order to rescue assets and liabilities of Banco Espírito Santo (BES).

The country's central bank said last week it had received five-non bidding offers in a deal that could be valued at €4bn.
This news could reflect the expansion of Chinese conglomerate Fosun International, who made two acquisitions in the country last year and showed its interest to acquire earlier this year US property consultancy group Cushman & Wakefield.
The Portuguese state expects to complete this sale by summer, in order to recover €4.9bn injected to BES last year.
